After the 2010 Congressional elections, when Republican Party candidates scored impressive victories against their Democratic rivals, the GOP developed a devious political strategy to win back the White House in 2012. This strategy was pretty well summed up by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell when he stated that Republicans would abandon all attempts to serve the American people and instead, concentrate on whatever political ploys were necessary to defeat Barack Obama in the next election.
