OWS in Pittsburgh: Diverse and Peaceful

Cliche’s become cliche’s because they are true, so if a picture paints a thousand words, the photo here tells you that Occupy Wall Street in Pittsburgh was comprised of people who felt the need to be heard. From diverse ages and backgrounds they came, and they all had something to say. This crossed Party lines and went straight to the hearts and minds of those who are feeling disheartened and disenfranchised.

Occupy Wall Street Moves into Pittsburgh

Inspired by the groundswell of Occupy Wall Street, the cause now comes to our own city of  Pittsburgh on October 15th. While our city has been like a phoenix rising from the ashes over the past two decades, there is no denying that many problems which effect the country also impact Pittsburgh. People have lost jobs; unemployment benefits have expired; lay-offs continue; foreclosures still happen, yet the banks go on and Congress has been bought and paid for.

Fuggedaboutit!

In an article of Psychology Today they discussed the word “fuggedaboutit.” Though they described the word as “Alpha Male Linguistics,” I am telling you today as a female, Fuggedaboutit! The Stock Market is tanking. So what else is new? I could go on and on about all the problems many of us face, but this is Take a Break Day.
