Sustainable Farming

In the mid 90′s I was on a trip, driving through the states of Indiana and Illinois. I saw miles and miles of corn fields. It got to the point that I thought they would never end. But it was a beautiful sight, America at its finest. At some point I began to notice that there were signs along these corn fields and farmlands. They were designated as being owned by corporations. Free Potassium Iodide Tablets?

Until a few years ago, I did not even know that we live within 25 miles of a nuclear power plant. Actually, I became aware of it after 9/11 when eavesdropping on some people who were discussing it. My ears perked up. It’s in a town called Shippingport. I have never been there. It is in Beaver County and I have rarely been in that county.
