“The Dark Knight Rises” Films in Pittsburgh

As they drove through the Fort Pitt Tunnel Wednesday and Thursday nights this week, Lightwave International Inc., a Pittsburgh-based production company that specializes in laser light shows and special effects for films and events, displayed the emblem of the caped crusader on Fifth Avenue Place. It was certain to be eye-catching and a wonderful welcome to those involved in the film.

And You Thought the Klan was Gone…

About five years ago I was Investigating for an agency approximately sixty miles north of Pittsburgh. One of the women who worked in that office came in one Monday morning looking fired up, but shaken. She and her husband had planned a camping trip in that county, where they had lived for years. The Crusties of the Road and Rails

The crusties have arrived in Pittsburgh. They like it here in the warmth of summer, sleeping under bridges or wherever they can find that is suitable, perhaps renting a room and getting a shower. Back in the day, they were referred to as hobos, these people who ride the rails or hitchhike as a way of life. For many of them, this is their chosen path. Who am I to judge?
