Disgraced Super Committee Fails to Act

For anybody wondering how the approval rating of Congress (more like the dis-approval rating) could possibly get any lower than its current  9%, the question has finally been answered.  Today the so-called Super Committee, comprised of six Republicans and six Democrats, announced that they had failed to come to an agreement on how to remove $1.2 trillion in spending from the federal budget over a period of ten years. The Tough Lessons of 2011

By the end of this week, three quarters of the year 2011 will behind us, leaving only a few months left until year end.   So far, 2011 hasn’t really given Americans too much to cheer about, and certainly hasn’t lived up to the expectations for a decent economic recovery.  I suppose the best thing that can be said about 2011 is that the things didn’t get a whole lot worse.   In fact, the year 2011 has taught Americans the following valuable lessons:

America May Face a Dire “Day After” Future
