In the 1950′s Groucho Marx sent a wire to the Friar’s Club in Hollywood. It read, “Please accept my resignation. I don’t want to belong to any club that would have me as a member.” I thought of this quote when watching Palin give her disjointed resignation speech from the Governorship the other day. Groucho Marx was a self-disparaging man and was known to be a loner. But there are similarities as well as differences  between Groucho and Palin.
