Welcome Back Sarah Palin!
Oh Sarah, Sarah, it is so gosh darn good to have you back! No one inspires such happiness as you with your “Hopey, changey” quotes. Gosh darn, Sarah we missed all that folksy
charm you got. Ya know, I heard that you have become a Constitutional Law scholar. Well, I’ll be! Did you know that the President, that would be Obama, taught Constitutional Law? Well, that’s what his resume’ says, but golly gee, remember the business about his birth certificate? That’s right; you and the “Grizzlie Girls” had somethin’ to say about that one, you betcha!
And whoa! You said that making BP pay for the oil spill in the Gulf “would lead to Nazism.” Well, we sure as heck don’t want that. Think of all the Tea Parties it would ruin! I was just wonderin’ if you knew that a law had been passed before this spill? It says something like, (oh golly gee let me get this right), any oil company that causes a spill must pay. Yep, that’s what I read. So BP went and put 20 billion dollars on the table for starters. But we sure as heck don’t want that to lead to Nazism, so why don’t we good ol’ Americans just foot the bill for all that mess?
Sarah, I gotta say that I have missed you, girl. You sure do give me somethin’ to think about every time you talk that talk. Now, what can ya tell us about this Bristol of yours marryin’ that pin-up guy?
Signed your friend,
cher

That is BRILLIANT! I can’t marry you, at least not in Oregon, at least not yet, and I’m definitely out of the child-bearing business, but if I weren’t, look out! She is Such a dim bulb, but dangerous for all that.

Melody,
I cannot stop laughing. You’re killin’ me!

I guess when the president you support has popularity in the garbage the only answer is to mock the other side.

Harrison,
Even Mitt Romney is distancing himself from Palin as though she is toxic waste. An adviser to Romney stated, “She’s not a serious human being.” Another person in Romney’s camp warned, “If she’s standing up there in a debate and the answers are more than 15 seconds long, she’s in trouble.” She is seen by most Republicans as polarizing and they are hungry to win in 2012. Face it; she’s a risk they are not willing to take.
Obama has accomplished more in this short period of time than many presidents have in their entire terms. His problem lies in P.R. He needs to pound out these accomplishments in his addresses and use substance. Rhetoric will cause him to lose.

I absolutely loved this one…..I had to come back and re read (for a laugh). It’s quite obvious that they don’t “do” charm school in Alaska….
[Translate]
Thanks, Tiff! No, I doubt they do charm school in Alaska, at least not as we know it. The rules do state, however, that you drop all the “g’s” from words ending in ‘ing’ so the locals don’t get confused. Now that may not be true of all Alaskans, and I don’t like to make sweeping generalizations, but they did elect Palin to represent them. How long did she actually serve that state? Seems to me she was lettin’ her “dreams be her ticket out” as the song says!

You’ve got her down to a Tea! (Sorry, couldn’t help myself!)

One of The Guys,
Thanks Guys! She really puts the “party” in Tea Party, doesn’t she!

Great one Cher, a beaut….thanks for ending my night with a coupla smiles.

KAK,
Happy it made you smile!

Its amazing how the uniformed [if not ignorant and narrcistic]
can hold sway over the uninformed and even the well informed thru the magic of the media prism.
For decades now …’how it’ll play in Poughkeepsie’ has been more important than actual substantive journalism or reporting.
and so it goes…
thanks for visting and commenting!

Eddie,
Well said! I go back to the old Marshall McLuhan statement that “The medium is the message.” Unfortunately, there is too little substance and too much hype.

You’re a little too good at that, me thinks.
Good to see that Sarah is stayin’ away from that there lame-stream media… except for her book tour, commentary job, and upcoming reality shows.
And I do believe that mocking the other side is a well-honed political tradition in this country on both sides.
[Translate]
Bagger,
Yes, mocking has probably become as much a tradition as debating. But ain’t we got fun with Palin!

one of my favorite aphorisms [or quotes] is that of Marshall
McLuhan and in reality this can manifest in myriad ways ,
handwriting analysis, body posture or physical clues in behavior
toward the opposite sex regarding attraction, there is so much communication besides
verbal. And even in the verbal lies the conceit of what is said and what is heard!
Thanks for the lovely review on blog catalog. I do appreciate your grasping on my intent in photo. It takes a particular sort of mind to grasp where i’m coming from…so thanks!

eddie,
You are so correct when you say that McLuhan’s statement applies both literally and figuratively. I love your phrase, “even in the verbal lies the conceit…” So well said.
I have held you blog in high regard for quite some time. It is rare to find substance both in visual and in writing. I will be back!
